These are (fairly rare) good use-cases for `cl-letf`:

    (cl-letf (((get 'cus-edit-tests--obsolete-option-tag 'saved-value) '(t)))
      (customize-saved)
      (should (search-forward cus-edit-tests--obsolete-option-tag nil t)))
