* Adding/changing a menu item in a derived mode

Can someone please explain to me how one is supposed to add or change a 
menu item to a submenu in a define-derived-mode? The submenu is already 
defined in the parent mode.

I just want to change the entries in the derived mode, not in the parent 
mode.

This just seems to hard to me. I have not been able to do it and I 
believe there should be a simple way to do it.
