The outcome of the lobbying is of no importance, really.
My point is that if someone thinks she needs/wants to a change some
setting for reasons which would seem to apply to most people if not
everybody, then she should lobby for the defaults to change.
That's what I want Emacs users to do w.r.t Emacs defaults. And I'd
expect that it's also what Git developer want Git users to do.
