We need a solution in the short term which lets us include in (Non)GNU ELPA packages which currently rely on the `request.el` API. An easy short term fix is to include request.el into NonGNU ELPA. But that will reduce the pressure to find a better fix. Still, if there's no better suggestion, that's probably what I'll do. Stefan
