When I visit a 13MB binary file (eg. the Emacs binary) I can hardly notice
a slowdown here.  Only scrolling backwards when inside a very long line is
rather slow, but that's probably due to requiring to rerender the whole
line each time to be able to find the correct window start.  There is no
such problem when scrolling forward.
