Right. I used the term "proper mailing list" in search of a better term, that would distinguish between mailing lists handled by mailman and mailing lists handled by sendmail aliases. (Incidentally, lately I have been receiving bounces for eliz@gnu.org for every post I send to emacs-unicode@gnu.org... perhaps fixed by now though.)
