On the latest build, with kdebase-4.0.5-3.fc9.x86_64 with emacs-cvs from 6/10/08, emacs does not draw it's window. Only a shadow appears! I think these messages are relevant: kwin: X Error (error: [DAMAGE+0], request: XDamageDestroy[DAMAGE+2], resource: 0x1a000e2) Going back to an emacs built from 5/12/08 fixes the problem.
