Their mailing list's most recent post was about the IBM 1620, which if you'll recall had variable-precision decimal floating point. Total memory was at most 20,000 decimal digits (they used a form of BCD so this was equivalent to 120,000 bits). I hope nobody tries to port Emacs to an IBM 1620....
