There's no *and* here. I'm talking about how the current major mode will
have to function.
It does TRT only for Xref, but not for completion-at-point-functions, or
Flymake/Flycheck. As I have pointed out in some detail.

I suppose. Though, when asked, in similar situations I try to describe
my "gut feeling" in logical terms, in terms of user experience, etc.
Similarly to what I have done in this discussion.
When one side wields explanations and another is based on gut feeling,
is often when we have long, pointless discussions like this one.

I don't think so. In general, we should use it more often.
For instance, in the very discussion where I got the "no-brainer" quote
from, I conceded the essence of the change and now only focus on the
details of the implementation.
