OK, I submitted a proposed patch to that effect as Bug#32902. I tested 
it on 32- and 64-bit platforms, as well as in a "future" mode where 
current-time etc. return the new (INTEGER-TIMESTAMP . RESOLUTION) 
format. It works well for me, though of course there may be glitches I 
missed. Comments welcome.
