Majority of users for the survey, if I remember well, came from Reddit. There was description where it was marketed mostly. Thus survey is not general Emacs survey, it is survey of mostly Reddit users who may be or probably are more skillful. If it would be general Emacs survey with general group of users mixed with beginners, intermediate and advanced users and they all say by majority they need no tool bar that would be valid information. It looks that it is just specific group of more than intermediate users of Emacs that disable toolbar.
