On the contrary, it is now consistent with what happens on X if no
position is explicitly supplied by the user - the window
manager is left
to position the frame.
The previous behavior of positioning the frame at (0, 0), while it has
been around for a long time, was a bug, and since it produces bad
results when the taskbar is at the top of the screen, it was
appropriate
to fix the bug.
Please, someone tell me how many Windows users reposition their task bar to
the *top* of the screen? For the 3 users worldwide who might do that: they
can use default-frame-alist or hack the registry to solve their "problem" -
please save the rest of the users that trouble.
