One of the patches makes Emacs not ask for confirmation by default.
Does the above mean you consider that one a bad idea as well?
Yes, we have bookmarks for that. If anything, despite your blind
dismissal, bookmarks should be extended to handle more scenarios of
what registers are capable of where possible.
