Requesting a paid version of Emacs

I love org-mode. I've tried tons of alternatives, but org-mode is the best.

However, using its features is often arcane. The manuals are sparse and
poor.

I request a $15/month support tier for org-mode.

This model could be extended to Emacs as a whole. Some of the money could
be used to pay maintainers, others for support personnel, others to the FSF.

Furthermore, most of the sync solutions for org-mode recommend proprietary
Dropbox or Google Drive. Both of these take some effort to set up. I would
expect a paid Emacs to come with a free software sync service.

Dropbox and Google Drive are services, not programs.  The distinction
of "proprietary" or "free" does not apply to them, at least not
straightforwardly.  We define exactly what it means to say a program
is proprietary, but I don't know what it means to say that a service
is proprietary.  Would you please explain what it is you mean in this
case?

Our moral requirement is not to recommend running any nonfree
software.  It is possible -- I don't know -- that these solutions
involve running some nonfree software.  If so, we should not recommend
them in Emacs or in Org mode.

Is there text in Emacs, or in Org mode, which recommends these?  If
so, we should check the facts about them.  Could you please show me
that text, and say precisely where it is published?  With that info we
could start checking.

There is no text in Emacs or Org mode recommending the use of either

This is probably a reference to Org Mobile:

File: org.info,  Node: Org Mobile,  Prev: Org Crypt,  Up: Miscellaneous

or just https://orgmode.org/manual/Org-Mobile.html

All Org does is read/write to a local directory, with the expectation
that other programs will do the same.  The job of those other programs
is to move the files to/from a mobile device.

For example, there is an iPhone app called MobileOrg
(https://github.com/MobileOrg/mobileorg), released under the GPL, that
works with this protocol.  It supports file synchronization over WebDAV,
Dropbox, and Apple iCloud.

https://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/mobileorg has a bit more info (including
mention of some Android options).

This is a borderline ethical case: the source code of that application
is free, but its executable is not free in a practical sense,
since the iMonster operating system restricts the installation
of modified versions.

Could someone ask the maintainer of that manual to talk with me about
how to handle this case?

I know that PayPal requires running nonfree JS code.
