Hear, hear. Alan (and anyone else), if you think person A is speaking disrespectfully to person B, it can be useful to take some action, but please take care in the way you do it. Criticizing a person's words in this way has a tendency to hurt feelings, so we should try to be extra kind when we say such a thing. A good first approach is to say privately to A that per words to B feel disrespectful to you. I suggest rereading https://gnu.org/philosophy/kind-communication.html before you write them, and citing those Kind Communication Guidelines in what you send. -- Dr Richard Stallman Chief GNUisance of the GNU Project (https://gnu.org) Founder, Free Software Foundation (https://fsf.org) Internet Hall-of-Famer (https://internethalloffame.org)
