I want to see the new search string, not some repetitions informational message. Besides, I may rebind C-y in a search to do what it used to do: exit the search! People are wantonly redefining control characters in searches to do other things, as if people though that these characters are somehow undefined. They are not undefined. They exit the search and then take an action. -- Dr Richard Stallman Chief GNUisance of the GNU Project (https://gnu.org) Founder, Free Software Foundation (https://fsf.org) Internet Hall-of-Famer (https://internethalloffame.org)
