To pressure developers to move their packages off GitHub would cause
resentment -- it would do more harm than good. But it would be very
useful to start a project to spread awareness of the harm that GitHub
does.
This is a big project, and to do it, we need volunteers.
We need a leader, or a group of a few leaders, to make
a commitment to get this going.
If you would like to do this, please write to me off the list.
