For ASCII art, a fixed-width font is best. I don't see a reason to use variable-width fonts for code, but if people like that, I'm in favor of supporting it. The place where variable-width fonts, and multiple fonts of different width, are really important is for editing documents with formatted text. -- Dr Richard Stallman President, Free Software Foundation (https://gnu.org, https://fsf.org) Internet Hall-of-Famer (https://internethalloffame.org) Skype: No way!
