I'm told that vc-update-change-log does not support Git.
Could someone add that support? vc-update-change-log should
support all VCS's that VC supports.

vc-update-change-log is only supported for RCS and CVS (and the latter
actually calls the RCS back-end implementation). No other VCS in VC
supports it.

That doesn't change the point that it ought to support Git.
What's hard about that?
