Thus, a reference to another manual has to search the path. We could modify our browser IceCat to recognize a ../ URL in some specific context and search the path to find the proper manual. That sort of URL would not work right in other browsers. We could also make our browser IceCat handle URLs like 'info:glibc'. Again, that would not work right in other browsers. I don't see any advantage in the ../ URL over the 'info:' URL, if either one would work only in our browser.
