Sorry, I don't see the difference. I asked you to point out those differences, i.e. tell what does Texinfo have that is conceptually different from Emacs faces. Unfortunately, you didn't. I thought that giving @example as an example was a sufficient answer. Emacs faces specify only the appearance of individual characters.
