In Emacs 22.3, if one turns on auto-save in the Rmail buffer, would
Emacs DTRT?
There was nothing special about an Rmail buffer
that would make it fail, so it probably worked.
This bug is caused by buffer-swapping, which was not present in Emacs 22.
