However, some of your corrections are wrong.  For example, this:

Since this talks about _characters_, not keystrokes, @kdb is
inappropriate here, I think.

This should be @kbd{C-@key{SPC}}, because we don't want "SPC to be
confused for the 3 characters S P C.
