I have no idea what you mean by "koi8-r glyph" and "utf8
glyph".  If you find that Emacs selects an inproper font for
Cyrillic characters, please show me the result of C-u C-x =
while putting a cursor on a character displayed with (what
you think) a proper font, and on a character displayed with
(what you think) an inproper font.
