That implies that there is only one right picture. I don't know whether there is more than one right picture, but you're using the wrong one. To approach things that way would be contrary to the responsibilities of a GNU package maintainer. It is out of the question. To argue for that just shows you don't understand. Using a package is not the same as supporting it: it actually places additional burdens on its developers. That is too narrow a picture of "support". Using a package is a vital form of support.
