The discussions focused on drawbacks and how to fix them, and we made
some progress.  I don't remember after all this time which drawbacks
remain to be fixed.  Can you remind us?

    `window-bottom-change-functions' hook (which Richard OK'ed, but has
    not been installed)

Can you post this code again?

Which drawbacks in linum would this enable to be fixed,
and which other drawbacks would remain?
