Anyway, I grew tired of looking at the ugly toolbar under windows, compared to my linux installation, I am sure it is a GNU/Linux installation, so please don't call it a "Linux installation". See http://www.gnu.org/gnu/gnu-linux-faq.html. How much you need PNG support, etc., is a matter of how often you want to display such images. It varies from person to person.
