Also, people should not have said that this branch was ready for installation while its doc was incomplete. However, that's the past. For now, we either have to revert those changes or figure them out and document them. It would be a shame to revert them, but it is simply impossible to go ahead with them undocumented. So if you don't want the multi-tty code taken out, start studying the code and commenting all the new functions, and writing up the new features for etc/NEWS.
