Subject: undigestify-rmail-message in emacs 22.1 doesn't split a digest

I receive messages from the r-help list in digest form
https://stat.ethz.ch/mailman/listinfo/r-help
I use rmail to read mail.

Using emacs 21.3, undigestify-rmail-message works fine, giving a large
number of individual messages.

Using emacs 22.1, the result is only two message:
* correct first message, the "Today's Topics" message
* all other real messages are kept as part of a single message.

I get the same result using --no-init-file.
here is the summary: message 1 is the original digest, and message 3
contains all of the real messages:
    1D 21-Jun r-help-request@stat.math.[8702] R-help Digest, Vol 52, Issue 21
    2 21-Jun r-help-request@stat.math. [174] R-help Digest, Vol 52, Issue 21
    3 20-Jun shiazy@gmail.com[8524] Re: [R] Got "Unexpected ELSE error"

If I use emacs 22.1 but load the emacs 21.3 version of
.../lisp/mail/undigest.el, then undigestify works correctly.

I am not attaching an example digest message because they are fairly
large, but will send one on request.

Perhaps the new version is confused by messages that have a "Message" header?
Message 3 has the format:
