    Also, it might be worthwhile to help distinguishing the modes at least
    by having different indicator in the modeline -- currently both use
    "Python" so it is even nontrivial for users to determine which one are
    they actually running...

I don't see a need for this.  It is not normally for both of them to
be installed.

Any given user will be running the one from Emacs, unless his machine
has the other one installed.
