As it stands, there is a problem with this text. It suggests that if you are happy with Custom saving into .emacs, you can safely skip this node. But it contains the following paragraph, which is useful for everybody: One cannot expect a single line always to completely describe a topic. The aim of the manual (and each part of it) is to be helpful--not particularly to be complete. We could change it to * Saving Customizations:: Specifying the file to save customizations in. but even though strictly speaking it includes the paragraph you mentioned, I am not sure it is better overall than the other text.
