Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

I have verified this with a clean build downloaded from scratch today,
and verified with the built-in GNUS 5.10 and with a fresh install
of the NoGnus 0.3; both give the same behaviour.  

I have also verified that the remote imap exists and I can fetch
to this machine from that server with the same :user and :password
using other imap software.

but when done in Emacs ...

Does this fix the bug?

Same problem.  Here are the messages; I'm just guessing, but it seems
to be an SSL authentication issue?  What I can say for certain is this
worked fine under all my previous versions of GNU emacs over the past
decade ;) and the same host/login/pw works fine with the pop method.

Let me know if there is any other diagnostic information I can get for
you.
