(thismode-recorded-major-mode (intern (concat (symbol-name mode) "-recorded-major-mode")))) Meanwhile, I see that the function named ,buffers and the function named ,buffers-check are almost identical. The only difference, it appears, is that the latter sets ,buffers to nil. Why not make it call the other one?
