* bug in read-key-sequence

When I eval (read-key-sequence "Foo") and type DELETE, I get
"^[[3~".  It ought to return [delete].

Strangely, all the other function keys seem to work properly.

Could someone who has recently worked on read-key-sequence
take a look at this?
