Maybe one should allow it surrounded by quotes, something like '?'.uu That seems like a good idea, if it can be implemented in a way that really works reliably. It might require parsing shell syntax to an extent that is not worth the trouble it takes. Or perhaps some of the existing code for parsing shell arguments could do the job.
