    AFAIK (I can't check now for lack of access to the CVS tree) the
    features are already separated in the implementation; they only have
    CUA in the name and maybe they are not documented separately.

How about documenting them separately?  It could be that some
of these features should be enabled by default, but we have
to consider each one separately.  Also, it could be that
one of these features should replace s-region.el.  Could you
look and see?
