    With inheritance, the change to parent affects lang. envs
    inheritting it.  With copying, no.  So, purhaps both method
    is useful (as well as the case of face).

Is it useful enough to warrant spending time writing it and debugging
it, and spend time and paper documenting it?  We could do other things
instead.
