In most applications, this is done by Shift+left click. [1]: I have read the docstring for mouse-save-then-kill and it turns out you can kill with a double-right-click. Maybe it=E2=80=99s convenient w= hen you internalize it. In a conventional UI, that would be Shift+left-click to select, then right-click for context menu, then Cut.
