To my surprise I see that the HTML nodes are not generated by some general function and just recursive calls. Is there any reason for this? Doesn't it make it much harder to maintain and change? The reason I looked at it is that the current HTML code is a bit too meager to enhance with JS. There ought to be classes, wrappers etc.
