That didn't work out. I didn't feel like I = should really invest that much energy into to the cover-up of my little wor= k and the yasnippet maintainer isn't that naive. If you refer to https://github.com/joaotavora/yasnippet/pull/746, as far I recall, I didn't merge it because there wasn't an explanation/description of the change in the commit messages (or elsewhere), so I couldn't really understand what it was fixing. It looks like you deleted the patch, but according to my comments there it would probably have fallen under the "regular series of repeated changes, such as renaming a symbol, is not legally significant even if the symbol has to be renamed in many places" as described in https://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/maintain.html#Legally-Significant so it might not even have exceeded the limit anyway.
