Last time I tried the offline method it was 2011 and I gave up because I use Linux and OSX machines, and it's even harder on Windows. The latter should cease to be a problem soon and I will try these setups asap. In your experience, how does this system sync with occasional usage from Gmail's web interface? Also, does this mean debbugs-gnu will also work offline? If I may suggest, another great setup, which I=E2=80=99ve modelled my own a= fter,
is: https://ericabrahams= en.net/tech/2014/oct/gnus-dovecot-lucene.html

Basically, fetch/synchronize mail to your local machine in Maildir
format using something like getmail or isync (mbsync is the command),
put a local imap server (e.g. dovecot) in front of it, and point Gnus=E2=80= =99s
nnimap to it.=C2=A0 Advantages of this setup include offline access to the<= br> emails, and blazing fast access/browsing, and flexible search setups.
