In a similar vein, for the benefit of those who may find it useful later:
The below linked thread celebrates the completed merge of "gccmacs" (the
ability for Emacs to transform elisp into "native" compilation units) into
master for release (probably) with Emacs 28 (dates TBD or IDK ;)
