This comment in skeletop-autowrap's docstring is from 1996:
We will probably delete this variable in a future Emacs version
unless we get a substantial number of complaints about the auto-wrap
feature.
Time to remove the comment, or to mark the variable as obsolete? Does
anyone set this to nil?
(The other possibility, of course, is that Richard meant the *far*
future, i.e. Emacs 35 or some such...)

Feel free to mark it obsolete when we re-open the trunk.
