As for wrong, perhaps a video of me throwing the computer out the window in a fit of screaming murdering rage when the frames fail to restore to their intended positions would give you and idea of how some people would take your suggestion of "if they need to be resized or moved, so be it". Again, tastes, everyone has theirs. I do not, very strong emphasis on "not", want an Emacs that restores frames to whatever place/size the Windows window manager fancies to put them. If you think I'm being overly dramatic, well... Yes. I'm trying to get across my point that I do not find the "just restore and let defaults be defaults" attitude useful in this case, as the ONLY option. As ONE option, sure, why not. J
