I want to add documentation for map.el, but I'm not sure where to put
it.  While it made sense to put the documentation for seq.el into the
Sequences section of the manual, I can't find the obvious place for
map.el.

Please byte-compile your files on a regular basis and look at the
warnings you get.
When you build Emacs you'll see that "0 warnings" is not our goal, but
we still like to try and avoid warnings when we can, especially for
new files that don't have to deal with lots of compatibility baggage.

Hi,

I want to add documentation for map.el, but I'm not sure where to put
it.  While it made sense to put the documentation for seq.el into the
Sequences section of the manual, I can't find the obvious place for
map.el.

Any idea?

On one hand, I don't think map.el deserves its own section.  On the
other hand, map.el is not about sequences but mapping collections...

So make a new Collections (or "Compound Data Types" or so) section and subordinate Sequences and (the new) Mappings to it.
