Looking at this, I believe it might be a bug in the vtable code. For every (left-aligned) cell, vtable adds space to the end so it's the same width as the largest cell in that column. That's important for the *non*-last columns of course, but I can't figure out why we need that for the last column. Does anyone know? Could we just remove that space? I think it'd be less misleading without it.
