It happens when it comes to displaying a non-ASCII character. Then  
scrolling through my home directory stops for seconds then. And again  
when the next file name with ä, ö, ü, etc. would become displayed.  
Scrolling through the configure script or ChangeLog file is quite  
fast, as usual.
