Or file-name-sans-extension before help-C-file-name. Not necessarily, no. There are several ways one might want function names sorted, including for the input `file-name-'. Some of them: alphabetically alphabetically and case insensitively by a fuzzy-match score by last use as input=20 by time of previous use, or alphabetically if not used ... And of course the reverse of any order. Sorting candidates is an area with lots of room for improvement.
