$ emacs -nbc -Q &
S-Mouse-1 pops up a menu from which a new font can be selected.
Customize the "default" face, make a simple change, for example,
change the foreground color to blue, and set for current session.
Now S-Mouse-1 pops up the font menu, but selecting a font doesn't have
any effect.
In GNU Emacs 22.0.50.1 (powerpc-apple-darwin8.7.0, X toolkit)
