The info manuals, especially when read thru emacs, are much more focused compared to the scatter gun mess on google. The `i' search beats the snot out of any kind of + - or other wannabe filter possible on google. Then there is the `s' (regular expression) search you cannot even come close to on google. In particular the emacs manual has had many an hour spent by lots of people setting up a truly comprehensive `'' (index) search. Further more, if you do find a shortcoming in the info manual or the searching, there are folks who will fix it... try that on google.
